» Peace talks: According to Government sources, the Government was active to hold peace talks through contacting sources.

» Maoist activities: The security forces have defused bombs planted by suspected Maoists in Kavrepalanchok and Kalikot district.
» Army activities: Army forces have shot dead Maoist rebels in Banke, Dadeldhura and Nawalparasi districts during the latest security operations.
» Ilam: The Maoist rebels have released a man accused to be a spy after taking him hostage for 38 days.
» Mugu: Maoist rebels have raided Gamgadi, the headquarters of Mugu district and set several empty government buildings on fire. The authorities said that the security forces have repulsed the attack. There had been no casualties among the security forces, the same sources said.

» Bomb blasts: Two powerful bomb explosions struck a state-owned corporation building in Kathmandu and a government office in Bhaktapur, wounding at least 38 people. The bomb followed the pattern of Maoist attacks, police said.
