»No peace talks: "The rebels would soon come to power," CPN-M chairmanPrachanda said in an interview. The leader ruled out peace talks with thepresent government. He said the Maoists would only consider talks if theking withdrew his Feb. 1 proclamation and seizure of power.
»Bombings: Suspected Maoists bombed the biggest school in Nepalgunj.There is no report of casualties. Maoist rebels planted a bomb in a PrimarySchool at Khara area of Rukum district.
»Lock out: About 200 villagers were displaced when Maoist rebels lockedout 34 houses in the Phidim area of Panchthar district. They warned allthe villagers having family members in army or police service against returning.
