Oct 13 2005 » Human rights abuses: A report made public by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has depicted serious human rights violations in Nepal. The OHCHR and other UN rights bodies were concerned about "serious violations of international human rights and humanitarian law committed by state authorities and by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist)."
Oct 16 2005 » Violent activities: In a press statement RNA said that a group of armed Maoists extorted money from tourists and local traders in in Humla district .
» Clash: The Royal Nepalese Army clashed with Maoist rebels after the rebels have attacked a security patrol in Morang district. Security forces killed four Maoists.
» School closure: Hundreds of students have fled their places to nearby districts after months of closure of private and boarding schools in Argakhanchi district. Most private schools remain closed since last 15 months.
