| Members
of civil society organisations and development workers criticised the donor
agencies for their failure to stick to their commitments, for attaching
conditions and for not being able to make aid delivery effective in developing
countries. They highlighted studies, which showed that around 80 per cent
of the aid amount is diverted back to the donor countries in the name of
technical assistance and in other forms. Dr Arjun Karki, president of the
NGO Federation of Nepal, criticised the aid policy followed by the IMF
and the World Bank. |
