2015: Powerful Earthquakes in Nepal

A massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitude has rocked central Nepal, causing extensive damage to buildings and hundreds of death and injuries. The quake struck an area in Lamjung District between the capital Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara. The epicenter was located 77km (48mi) Northwestof Kathmandu 73km (45mi) East of Pokhara.

The earthquake occurred as the result of thrust faulting on or nearthe main frontal thrust between the subducting India plate and the overriding Eurasia plate to the north.

The owner family and the staff of the resort are well. The infrastructure of the resort has suffered major irreparable damage. The management is trying to reopen the resort as soon as possible.
Currently the Resort has opened a safe small camping site with basic facilities which include running toilets, showers, and a comfortable space to pitch your tents. The Resort also do provide tents and sleeping bags. Internet access is also up and running and electricity has been restored with our solar and generator backup on standby. Basic european meals and limited snack options are also available.
