flydubai connecting Dubai with Kathmandu

flydubai operates daily flights a week to Kathmandu. flydubai's service will leave Dubai International Airport's Terminal 2 at 07:00 and arrive at 13:00 local time.

flydubai's network includes 26 destinations.

flydubai's strategy is to combine well-known routes that enjoy a service from many airlines, with routes that are less popular and are under-served by the larger carriers.

The spectacular Himalayan nation was the second new destinationfor the airline after it commenced flights to Bahrain in December 2009. Kathmandu isreached by flydubai's Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft at 3,000 kms from Dubai and a flying time of 4 hours and 15 minutes.

The thriving capital of Nepal is becoming a popular destination for hundreds of thousands of tourists, many of them coming for the breathtaking views and treks of the Himalayas.

Kathmandu is Nepal's main business centre and has a population of just over three million. The city is documented by many travellers as one of the most beautiful and mysterious locations in the world, and is often the starting point for travellers who visit the Himalayas and in particular the base camp of Mount Everest each year. Everest reaches a peak of 8,850 metres (29,035 feet).

With a population of just over one million and a history stretching back more than 2,000 years, the medieval city of Kathmandu is considered to be among the most beautiful urban locations in the world. The old city is noted for its many Buddhist and Hindu temples and the old palace of the Newar kings at Durbar is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kathmandu is also the main jumping off point for trekkers and mountaineers seeking adventure in the Himalayas.
